Riding the Polar Express

We went to Utah to visit family for the Thanksgiving weekend. One of the highlights of the trip (besides seeing Twilight and the yummy food) was our ride on the Polar Express with my mom and Sister-in-Law, Traci (my brother, Andy, almost made it...but that's another story). We all bundled up in our jammies and headed to Heber City for a ride on the train. The elves brought us hot (well lukewarm) chocolate and cookies to eat as we got underway. We sang carols and read the book "The Polar Express" on the way to the North Pole. Santa jumped on the train and gave all the kids a jingle bell and asked what they wanted for Chrismas. We sang Chrismas songs all the way back while we watched the twinkling lights in the countryside. It was fun and we all had a great time.

Fun! I've always wanted to do that with our kids, but they're always sold out. Maybe next year. It's too bad we missed you when you were here-- we were actually in Idaho for Thanksgiving.
