Oh man...fourth place! The face says it all!

The Bandits........................and coach Todd
Parker has really gotten into playing hockey this year. We are glad that he has finally found a sport that he likes to play. He had a really good first season and scored 2 goals. He is really looking forward to next season.

Megan's Dance Recital

Megan did the best job in her dance recital! They did a tap number to "Swingin' on a Star" and, of course, I thought she was the best one. It was fun to see how much she has improved over the past year. Wait to go Megan!

Amazing Kids!

Megan graduated from Kindergarten
Parker finished third grade as an honor roll student.
We are very proud of our kids. They worked really hard in school this year and we were proud to attend their class award ceremonies. Megan had a graduation program and sang a bunch of cute songs including "Tiki Room" and "Ladybugs Picnic" before getting to walk across the stage and get her diploma. She has learned to read very well this year and we are proud of her. Parker had an award ceremony with the 3rd grade students. He received the honor roll award for having A's and B's all year. We are very proud of him and how hard he worked in school this year. He has also become quite the reader, since we introduced him to Harry Potter!

Memorial Weekend Fun!!

Bowling with the family....Colton had fun with the balls.
Colton, Parker, Bailey and Megan

Megan, Colton and Grandma Bird at Corn Creek

Brian and Parker hanging out at Corn Creek

We had a lot of fun over Memorial Day weekend. My mom and nephew Bailey came to visit and we did a lot of exiciting things together. Friday night we went to a Las Vegas 51's baseball game. The kids got to meet the mascot, Cosmo the alien, we got to see Megan visit the restroom at least 6 times, witness Colton's many escape attempts and the kids eating a lot of junk food, which then made a re-appearance later (at least in the case of Parker). At least the patriotic fireworks display was worth the wait....lol!
Saturday we went on a picnic with our good friends the Kelloggs and visited the Corn Creek nature preserve. It was really neat to see all the wildlife (we saw lots of lizards). It was a gorgeous day and we had a lot of fun.
Sunday we had a BBQ and lots of yummy food. We also played games and watched a movie.
Monday morning we went bowling. The kids had a blast and Grandma won. Monday night we had a fun BBQ and went swimming with our friends the Shauls. We were very sad to see the weekend end!!

Trip to Disneyland

Grandma and Megan on Dumbo....was it worth the 45 min wait?

Brian and Colton in the Nemo ride....one of the favorites

The kids enthralled in the jungle cruise

Me n Megan on the Carousel
A couple of weekends ago we had the opportunity to tag along with Brian and his guitar kids to Disneyland. Luckily we had Grandma Bird to help us while Brian was off at performances. We had a lot of fun, the weather was perfect and we arrived home tired but happy.

Megan's Birthday Party

Megan and Parker in the jump house...there were in there ALL DAY
Eating popsicles with friends

Megan's ladybug cake...isn't it cute?

Blowing out the candles.....

We had a birthday part on Saturday for Megan. I can't believe my baby girl is turning 6!! We went for the no-fuss party and rented a bounce house. My kids jumped on it ALL DAY LONG and had a great time. It was the hottest day of the year...in the 80's, so by the time the party started it was a little warm. I tried my hand at a creative cake again and made a cute ladybug. The kids had a blast jumping in the jump house, blowing bubbles, coloring with sidewalk chalk and eating popsicles. At the end we had cake and ice cream and opened presents. Fun was had by all.

Easter

Easter outfits!

Look at all the loot!

Colton loves candy!

Easter cutie

How did the Easter Bunny know...just what I wanted!
Easter was pretty low key at our house this year. It was nice to have a day just to relax, snuggle under blankets and watch conference together. The kids enjoyed their Easter Baskets and we all ate cinnamon rolls and stayed in our jammies way too long. My dad arrived to visit from Utah in the afternoon and we ate a delicious ham dinner together. It was a wonderful day!
