We had a really fun Bird family vacation to Flaming Gorge. Utah! After a VERY long 13 hour drive, we finally made it to the KOA campground and got settled in our cabins. After a yummy dinner together, we went for a short hike and the kids did some fishing. Parker caught a tiny fish but they had fun. The next day, we rented a boat and spent the day boating, swimming, and riding tubes, knee boards and wake boards. Poor Brian spent the day in Vernal getting our flat tire fixed and missed most of the water fun, but luckily he made it make in time for one last boat ride and a yummy hot dog fry with s'mores. The third day was overcast with a little drizzle but we enjoyed a tour of the dam, lunch at the lodge, more fishing and horseback riding. We had time for one last hike and view of the beautiful gorge before dinner, and had fun playing cards and hanging out on our last night.
