Megan, Colton and Laynee had fun taking swimming lessons this summer.  Parker was away having fun at scout camp.  Laynee loved swimming with Daddy, chasing the fishies and going down the slide.  Colton liked diving for rings and going down the slide too.  Megan had fun diving and having races using the different swimming strokes.  All kids swam really well and passed their classes with flying colors.

The kids have a lot of fun playing at the park on the splash pads in the summer.  For some reason Laynee was afraid and wouldn't get in the water, but Megan and Colton had a great time!

We went to the skating rink as a family and had a really fun time.  It was Laynee's first time on skates and she had a blast!  She wouldn't let go of daddy's hand at first, but once she got used to it she wanted to be on her own.  At the end of the night we kept trying to leave and Laynee kept sneaking back out onto the rink.  I guess we will have to go back!

We had a lot of fun on the last day of school.  I picked up the kids and gave them their usually candy leis.  Then as a surprise we drove to subway to get sandwiches and met Brian at his school for an impromptu carpet picnic.  Once we got home, the kids had a fun silly string fight.  Dinner was our "orange you glad it's summer" feast complete with orange chicken, carrots, orange soda, and orange ice cream.  YAY!  Summer is here!

Megan did really well in school this year.  She received an award for Straight A's all year and an award from the music teacher for outstanding achievement.  Way to go Megan!

We were proud of Colton for working hard in school this year.  At his awards ceremony he received an outstanding math award as well as recognition from the P.E. and music teachers for his achievement in their classes.  Way to go Colton!

Megan's Dance recital went really went this year.   She performed in three numbers:  tap to "Sunny Side of the Street", jazz to "Conga" and ballet to "Carmen".  She looked fabulous and we were very proud to see how far she has come with her dancing skills this year!
