Visit to the Museum of Natural History

We had an enjoyable time visiting the Museum of Natural History this weekend.  The kids really enjoyed the dinosaur room, digging for bones and the Ancient Egyptian area.  They had fun trying to construct their own pyramid with blocks!

Family Pictures

We got our family pictures taken at Floyd Lamb park again this year.   The weather and scenery were gorgeous and we got some awesome pictures.  The only issue we had was avoiding goose poop!

Halloween 2015

Halloween was lots of fun this year.  Parker went to a teenager party and didn't dress up. Megan was a beautiful angel, Colton was a Minecraft creeper, Laynee was a very cute Elsa, Brian was a Minion and I was Scarlett Overkill.  We started the evening at the ward party, where we ate dinner and did trunk or treat.  After that we had a lot of fun trick or treating around the neighborhood with our family and friends.  Baxter tried to escape and run into our neighbor's house but he was thwarted by a quick sprinting minion!!

Pumpkin Patch

We took the kids to the pumpkin patch to have fun playing on the swings and inflatables.  The big kids weren't very excited about the whole thing, but Laynee and Colton had a lot of fun.

Marching Band Season

Parker is a Freshman this year and had the opportunity to play in the marching band this year.  After a long, hard band camp, he was assigned to play the bass drum.  He has had a lot of fun playing at football games and for competitions and we have had a lot of fun watching him.

Carving up the pumpkins

One of our favorite family Halloween traditions is carving pumpkins together while watching "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."  This year we had a Winnie the Pooh, a scary bat, a mine craft guy and a puking pumpkin.

Corn Maze

This year we decided to try something different and go to a corn maze closer to home in Moapa.  We were quickly able to find our way through the maze and spent time looking at the farm animals, riding the swings and cow train and taking a hay ride around the property.  Once the sun went down, we rented a fire pit and had hot dogs and s'mores.  The kids sang songs and told ghost stories.   It was a very fun night together.
