We took advantage of the gorgeous day and went up to the mountains for a hike and picnic.  This was one of the first hikes that we didn't have to carry someone at least part of the way.  Laynee is now very independent and likes to walk by herself.  I can't believe how big our kids are getting!  At the end of our hike, we had a yummy picnic and an impromptu water fight!

After church we got ready for an Easter feast with friends.
Megan wanted spaghetti so we had an Italian Easter complete with two kinds of pasta, garlic bread sticks and salad, yum!

After breakfast we all got ready for church....I think we may have taken one too many pictures!   LOL  The Easter program was really nice.  Lots of music from the kids and the choir.  We also got to hear from Brian!

Easter was exciting this year because it was also Megan's 10th birthday.   We woke up and checked out our Easter baskets and ate donuts and chocolate milk for breakfast (Megan's choice!)

We had a really fun Easter egg hunt with our ward family the Saturday before Easter.  The kids played egg toss, ran relay races and jumped in a bounce house.  We rounded out the night with the egg hunt and a yummy family picnic.  The adults had fun chatting while the kids ran around and played football.  It was a really fun night.  PS where's waldo?  Where's Parker you may ask?  He is too old for egg hunts!  BLERGH!  It's mixed feelings to see them grow up.

The Friday before Easter we had our annual egg dyeing fest.  I think Colton and Laynee had the most fun.  Colton was stealing other people's eggs to dye and Laynee kept sticking her hands in all the dye cups.  By the end of the night we had some really pretty eggs, 4 satisfied kids and a baby who looked like a smurf (blue hands baby!).  We rounded out the night by watching the ever classic Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown.

Megan had a lot of fun at her 10th birthday party.  She wanted to go for an artist theme so we painted birdhouses, decorated cookies, played pictionary and knocked down a paint bucket shaped pinata.  We also ate pizza and had rice krispy paint brushes and artist palette cupcakes.  Fun was had by all!
